New Tires and now a slight rattle from the drive line at very low speed...??
Guys,
13 JK 6spd 800 miles
Teraflex 2.5 coil lift
All was quiet great and fine, but last weekend I put on a set of 33" nitto trail grapplers on the stock Moabs. I already had a set of spidertrax spacers on it.
When creeping at very low speed, 8 mph or slower, I can feel the treads of the mud tires under me. Now however I have noticed a slight rattling, that seems to time itself with the tread lumps at low speed (if that makes sense). It appears to be coming from the gear shift area. It only occurs at VERY low speed, like 2-3 mph or so, essentially when drifting forward or back. AND it only makes the noise when the trans is in a gear and clutch in or out makes no difference. However if I am drifting slowly but trans is not in gear, I get no noise.
I have read about the 12-13 6 speed noise issues, but I dont think this is the same...
Any insight guys?

Yeah I am not worried about the lug noise/vibration, I figured that part would be normal for off road tires and no biggie.
After thinking about this last night, I have a theory, not sure if it makes sense though, so opinions are welcome.
I only feel the lug vibration at very low speed, 5mph or less. Being that I only hear this noise when the trans is in gear and moving this slow, and it seems to match the vibrations of the lug, I think it may be just the drivetrain noise from the slow lug vibration. It only does it when in gear, like I said earlier, not when its out of gear. Which shows that the trans would not be connected so to speak to the rear axle, therefore not causing the rattle.
So thought short lol, I think that it may be normal and just a by product of the slow speed (5mph or less) of the off road tire vibration working its way back to the cab.
Hope that makes sense.
