Question Full Traction HD 3 inch coil questions

I'm trying to decide between a Full traction 3 inch and 4 inch lift and need some information about the heavy duty coils. (I am also considering the Rubicon Express 3.5 inch lift.)

1-How much additional lift if any will the Full Traction HD springs provide with the stock bumper?

2- Are there sellers that will swap the regular springs for the HD ones, or will I need to purchase these in addition to the lift?

3- My friend says the FT three inch lift leaves a slight rake in the front with the regular coils. For those of you that have this lift, do you feel the same way. Do the HD coils eliminate the rake?

4- Are the HD springs only for the front? Also, will there be HD springs available for the four inch lift?

5- I plan on adding aftermarket front and rear bumpers and maybe a winch later. If you are running this three inch lift, what do you suggest?

Thanks

HD springs are only for the front and they are no additional cost. HD coils will eliminate or reduce the rake of aftermarket bumper and winch.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have this lift by chance? Any suggestions on which way to go?

I have the 3" lift on mine and it has more than a" little" rake.It is about 2" lower in the front with the stock bumper or with the Expedition One dx.I have added a 1 3/4' spacer and it still has a slight rake.I am looking at other lifts to replace this one.

Hey Eddy, thanks for the reply -

Do you have any pics showing the rake? Wow, 2" is alot. Are you looking for another lift due to the rake, or are there other reasons?

But do you have HD springs?

I do have this lift, but it's in a box on my garage floor. Putting it on next week. There are a couple threads discussing HD springs. Try a search.

RE is an awesome lift too, but 3.5" will probably require new drive shafts.

Clackey - I noticed you have the FT 3 inch lift and that you mentioned on another thread that you are thinking of moving up to the 4 inch lift. I am debating between the two sizes right now. I am leaning towards the 3 inch lift so I don't have to get new driveshafts, but really want the 4 inch. Why are you thinking of changing.

If I go with the 3 inch lift to start out with, how much is involved in moving up to the 4 inch, just springs?

Sorry for all the questions, but everything involved (lift, wheel, tires) adds up to alot of money and I am hoping to get it right the first time.

Thanks.

If I change it will be to the Full Traction Long Arm. I may have a stop in between with the 4" Ultimate just because I think the only thing I need to get to upgrade is 4" springs, a drop pitman arm (which I think I need now), brake line extensions (which I need now) and new drive shafts (which I also need now) I basically have a 4" now. I have he 3" with the front HD springs and I have 3/4" coil spacers on the front and on the rear. I'd love to run 37's some day (which might fit right now) but for now I'm way happy with what I've got. I think the 3" is perfect as a daily driver. The ride is better than it was stock. SERIOUS!
