Default Rough country Body lift

Has anyone installed one of these? I have a 2012 manual 2Dr and looking to put 35's under. I have a teraflex leveling kit and really would like to keep the suspension as close as possible to stock and don't want to cut my fenders. I mainly want to know how to get to the shifter to put there adapter that comes with the kit. I know a lot of people are going to say not to waste my time and just get a suspension lift but I am not interested on that right now. I fairly confident I can install the rest on the kit but the shifter extender install concerns me. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I have the rough country 1.25" body lift with my 2.5" teraflex budget boost. It works great!

I have the same jeep as you with a 2.5 teraflex budget boost and then installed the 1.25 rough country body. It was very easy to put on. Took about a hour and a half. Then only thing is the shift boot with the soft adaptor.

Did the kit come with instructions on how to put the shifter adapter on a 2012? I think getting to the inner boot will be the most problematic of the entire install.

i HAD the rc 1.25" body lift and ditched it and went with the teraflex body lift
the rc requires you to hammer out the pressed studs and reuse them
what a pita!!
sold my rc and bought the teraflex
WAY WAY happier with the tf kit
check it out
its worth the tiny bit of extra cash
and btw im not anti rough country bc im running their 2.5" suspension lift and love it and recommend it (espc for the price)
but not their body lift - no way
i suggest buying the tf body lift and ordering just the rc shifter piece
good luck!

Default shift boot mod?

What needs to be done with the shift boot for the M/T? I wanna do the tera flex body lift I'm just worried it will mess the shifter up.

I have nothing against Rough Country as I had their 3.5" lift on my previous JKU, however with that said, I qould go with the Daystar 1" lift. A little more expensive but very easy to install. Pretty much bolt in with jackstands and shop jack.

A body lift is a body lift is a body lift.

The RC is nice if you have manual because of the shifter extention.

Hammering the bolts out is a piece of cake.

You will need a vice and a grinder for the install because two of the factory washers have to be ground-down a bit to prevent squeeking. This is clearly noted in the instructions.
