Raising my spare
I'm looking to raise my spare higher on the stock carrier. I have the TeraFlex tailgate strengthener. I have seen a few companies make a spare tire relocation bracket. I was wondering if anyone has used any of the or could recommend one. Thanks
I have the TF one. I didn't run it very long because my spare didn't contact the isolators on the gate. I'm not a big fan.
Why do you want to raise it? The best solution is the TF adjustable carrier made to work with the hinged part you already have.

I've read bad reviews about that TeraFlex spare carrier that goes with the part I already have. I want to raise it for clearance and I run a license plate mount and third brake light on my spare. Just think it will look better higher.
How big of a tire are you running? I have 35s using the stock carrier on the TF hinges. The height is fine for me and I'm able to still use the stock 3rd brake light too.
i used the rough country and had zero problems
i no longer used it after i got my rear bumper/tire carrier so i gave it to a buddy who's still running it to this day
zero problems
super cheap price
very solid
i will say though that it doesn't ship to you with the wheel studs for the spare pressed into the bracket
they leave that up to you so that the same bracket can be used for several different bolt patterns
thats makes their life easier but not yours
your have to "press" the studs in by tightening a lug nut onto the other side
it was a pita,
but the bracket is great other than that
