Dynomax Super Turbo Axle-back - 39510
So I have been doing lots of research on a bolt-on exhaust systems for my JK and I finally decided to give the Dynomax Super Turbo Axle-back exhaust system a try.
I have read numerous opinions regarding this exhaust and have honestly nothing bad to say about it. Mind you it has been installed about 24 hrs now.
Hear are some negative comments I found that I disagree with...
1. Exhaust drones - I have yet to be bothered by any sound within the cab (got soft top on)
2. Exhaust clamp doesn't tighten enough - I was able to tighten by hand to where I am unable to budge the muffler.
3. Exhaust tips are uneven - I can't see a real difference. I am sure if I take a tape measure to it there may be a difference, but by eye...nope.
The only 2 problem I noticed...
1. The included tip clamps cannot be tightened enough to hold the tips if they are pulled to far out. I had to push the tips further in to get a tight fit. I measured 2 inches from muffler end to tip end to get a nice tight fit (hope that makes sense)
2. The tip clamps are way to visible. They should probably re-engineer this.
Removal of the stocker was a real pain as many have mentioned. Even though mine is a 2012 with 4000 miles on it, it was a pain get off. WD-40 and a big pry bar will get the exhaust off the hangers. WD-40 and lots of wiggling will get the muffler off.
Installation was an absolute breeze.
All-in-all it took about 50 minutes total.
The muffler is not loud at all. There is a nice rumble to it but not obnoxious at all. So far so good
I think this axle-back system is pretty darn good for the minimalistic cost you pay (compared to other similar dual exit systems out there). Probably can't be beat
Anyway I hope this helps someone debating this setup

I bought mine used and it sucked I had a hard time installing it and when you connected to the exhaust and I have a small leak there too since it won't go in so I'm going to weld it on there if not im going with the one rubicat has.
Not saying the muffler is bad I think mine was just all banged up and then I banged it up even more rock crawling lol

I have had the Exhaust installed for a little over 2 weeks and I must say I have nothing bad to say.
I have driven my Jeep with and without soft top at city and highway speeds and I personally don't have any issues with noise levels. I get very little to no drone depending on speeds and whether the top is on/off.
Actually it sounds better now than when I first put it on. Its got more of a rumble now, but again not obnoxious.

The hard top seems to be the biggest catalyst for drone on the highway, I did not have much if any without the top on.
