Default Plastidiping stock rims questionHi,

Hi, I plastidiped my second set of stock rims in black and mount new duratrack tires after. Got couple of minor striped plastidipped pleases around 2 rims borders, possibly because of the way they mounted my tires. Not as bad so far and it survived rain and two days of driving also manual car wash. My worry is that it might become worse and will have to undo/clean my plastidip completely? If yes, I probably will not worry about plastidiping anymore, waste of time even I like black color for stocks a lot ... :(

Have no fear it won't get any worse. But if u decide to take it off, forget peeling it off that's a pita. Use brake cleaner and some paper towels.

I heard also UW-40 spray and powerwash will clean quick. Sad, so much work was done, anyway I will wait to see if it will become worse.

Painting is expensive, I would better buy black rims and sell this one. Yes, stocks in black + duratracs are looks amazing as per my vision.

3m stripping pad and 6 cans of duplicolor engine enamel. Costs ya less than $50

Do what I did. I had the same issue after I got my 37s Installed. I took a razor and cut the plasti dip of the ring of the rim. Didn't feel like peeling and re painting again!

I wouldn't paint well, needs skills and tools. Plastidip seem easy to do but not last and getting stripped easy. Paying to painting will cost big $.

that is great suggestion but would display shiny circle around black rim, am I correct? I will keep it as a last option What razor did you use? Will sharp knife work?

It's pretty forgiving man. I don't have any special paint skills and don't use tools. Hell I didn't even take em off the jeep or use tape lol. It's just as forgiving as plastidip if you use flat or satin sheen
