Hi All,

Just fitted a RC 2.5'' BB and 315/75/16 Cooper STT's to my JKU last weekend. Cruise control was working fine until then. Its a 6 speed stick shift. Now for some reason cruise control will only engage in 4th and 6th gear! But not in 5th for some unknown reason.

@ 30 mph in 4th its doing 1650ish rpm Cruise engages as it should

@ 40 mph in 5th it doing 1750ish rpm Cruise won't engage (even at higher speeds in 5th!0

@ 50 mph in 6th its doing 1800 rpm and Cruise engages without a problem and works at higher speeds....

After fitting the lift the steering did not need to be re-centred. it has a Dana 44 on the rear (with a Trac-loc diff i think as when ive been off roading it had the characteristics of an LSD) but not sure about the gearing. have tried to get a build sheet but with no success!

I don't know if anyone else has suffered with a similar problem??.... Any help would be much appreciated!

Try disconnecting the battery cables for 20 mins or so.
The only time mine wouldn't work is when the steering wheel was off center a hair.

 

X2 mine did it at low speeds.... Battery disconnect worked

My cruise occasionally doesn't work.. Solution??? Honk the horn, push cruise button, works instantly
