Default Lost Steering Wheel Audio Controls & compass: Help !

I have a 2012 JKU tuned via Diablosport.
All was well and working flawlessly since Feb until one day, out of the blue, the audio controls on the back of the steering wheel stopped working.
Also the digital compass on dash just disappeared (coincidence ??)

Other steering wheel functions like cruise control and cycling through temp, consumption etc... work well.

I have made several attempts with zero results

1) I've reset the JK to the stock tune .... nothing
2) Re-installed Diablosport tune .... nothing
3) Disconnected the battery for 1/2 a day .... nothing
4) I honked (a popular discussed remedy in case of bad connection) ....nothing

It is interesting to mention that after I disconnected the positive battery terminal for 1/2 a day, my radio stations were still on memory (aren't they supposed to go??)

Someone recommended I disconnect the POSITIVE battery cable and make it touch the NEGATIVE post (WHILE ON BATTERY).
This supposedly will drain any residual power retained in any capacitors and will effectively do a "FULL" reset to the ECU.

Your views and help on finding a solution are much appreciated.

Ok I feel much better now that I'm not the only 1

Same thing no steering wheel controls and compass is gone.

I have tried the same things and noting works to get it back.
I've posted on the diablo sport forum and they don't respond, but I get a pm that tells me to take it in to the dealer!!!!!!!!!!! Wtf

So I ask him if he's paying for that...... No response....

Honking horn worked for me when I lost the back controls. This has happened to me twice.

its not the clock spring as mine was replaced a few months prior.

This issue is a result of the diablo t-1000

the big difference between this and the clockspring issue is the fact the compass disappears.

about to send some really nasty mail to diablo.

The next release will have all the quick adjust settings working properly, there was some issues with that tester, we are no longer sending it to anyone.
Just avoid those quick adjust changes for now until the new update.

Thanks

Mike

Ok fair enough, I have no issue with that mike.

And if it’s a small bill then no problem, shit happens.

Now that you have admitted the tuner cause the issue, how do we correct this from happening again ?

Id simply take it to the dealer and tell them your Jeep is acting funny, and ask them to fix it.
They’ll only know you caused the issue with a tuner if you tell them….

So are you guys paying for that?
It only happened after I took garrets advice and installed trinity_dcx_gas-1t10ce_update.crom

That’s something in the vehicle config, it will need a dealer trip for a quick fix…
