I just installed my synergy chromoly tie rod on my 09 jku with 3.5" aev lift

I haven't gotten an alignment yet

Drove about 10 minutes and the ESP BAS warning light is on now

What the heck did I do lol

 

Did you straighten the steering wheel? if the steering wheel is off it will set off the ESP

 

Steering wheel is way off. I'm assuming then when my alignment tomorrow fixes that the warning light should go off?

 

First insure the axle is centered, then re-center your steering wheel.

 

Just got an alignment steering is straight axle is good and the warning lights are still on

 

Unplug your battery for a few, then plug back in. Computer might need to re-set. If you did an alignment, that most likely would take care of the light

 

Straight according to what?

The jeeps computer has a way to do this... I can imagine what looks straight may be a pinch different then what the computer is seeing...

Do you have a pro cal or similar?

 

The alignment shop used the computer to align with degree readings

I honestly think you need to center your steering wheel according to the jeeps computer. The alignment shop took care of toe in and castor.

This procedure is to let the jeep computer know all is well..... As it is right now the jeep thinks your are sliding..... Google "jeep jk center steering wheel"

I don't know anything about superchips capabilities so I can't help you there....

 

So how would I go about doing this? A little confused here...

Physically the steering wheel is straight, but my jeep thinks not?
