Default Rough country gas skid plate

Anyone have insight on gas tank skid plates? Rough country offers one at 150$, which is like 30% the price of the competition. I can't see a reason why NOT to buy that one. Thoughts?

My stock one has taken a huge beating, it looks bad but it works. I'm not sure a new one is needed.

Mine is beat too. I wouldn't care, but now i have a squeaking noise all the time from the skid rubbing on the tank... Which also means wear to the tank...
