Default How long has your clutch lasted?

So after being out on the trails at Rausch again and doing what a jeep does best.... Taking a good beating on the trails and driving on. I was thinking about my clutch. Not that I smoked it but there was times I could get a good whiff off clutch here and there. I guess I was curious to know how many miles people where getting out of their clutches?

My uncles was around, 60k street driving, though that was an unlimited on 33s with 3.21s. I imagine better gearing would have prolonged clutch life.

80+K miles on 37s and 4.88 gears. No issues so far, though I know when the time comes I'm going with a centerforce replacement.

I changed mine at about 95K miles because the throwout bearing sounded like it had gravel for bearings. The clutch, pressure plate and flywheel still looked fine,

this despite changing gears to rock the Jeep in places such as this:

The inside of my bell housing was reasonably clean. I guess that means I'm not much of a believer in the "don't shift in water" mantra.

Yup, yup.....I've shifted in muddy water with all my previous vehicles and have never had a problem. It won't be any different with this one.

I've got right at 30k on mine with 4:10's and 35's....I start off in 2nd gear everywhere I go and the clutch still runs like new.

At about 47,000 miles I got stuck on this swamped road. Couldn't go forward or backwards nor could I rock it. I did depress the clutch pedal trying and after I got towed out the clutch was shot. AAA to the shop.
