Default 2012+ RK 2.5" Driveshaft Help

I cant seem to find a direct answer to this question. On a 2012+ 2-door manual with a 2.5 RK max travel will I have to have a new driveshaft or exhaust spacer to install the kit? I am not talking immediately going off road with it, just to install it and be able to drive on the street until my replacement driveshaft arrives. The reason being Adams wants measurements post install before they make your driveshaft. Any ideas?

Well since you'll get well over 3" of lift with that Rock Krawler on a 2 door, I'd say plan some funds for a new front driveshaft, but you may get by for awhile. I managed to rub the exhaust with my 2.5" TF budget boost, and have some grease coming out of the transfercase boot with in 6-7 months of lifting. Still running the stocker, but just a heads up. Your kit will be about an inch higer, and have a lot more flex than mine

Did you have exhaust spacers in with your BB? If not, do you think that would have made a difference?

I have exhaust spacers, I just haven't gotten around to putting them on. The rubbing i've had on the exhaust is pretty minor in my case i believe. I never knew when it happen/happens. Just noticed that my rubber slip boot had some small tears in it when i was swapping my transfercase. But yeah, they probably would have prevented it.

Maybe my post was not clear. I am going to get a new driveshaft, but my question is can I install the lift and drive on the street, no flexing, until my new drive shave arrives. Will the stock shaft contact the exhaust during normal street driving?

Nah you'll be fine. Worst case scenario, just take the front driveshaft off temporarily. But i'm pretty sure it won't touch on the street.

I have a 2007 2 door with the same lift. After install my stock DS started slinging grease about a month later. It had to be replaced. It had never even been off road at this point. So i would say that if you have the ability to buy a new front DS when you do thee lift , do it.
