Default Mickey Thompson's are on their way!

Went to the 4 Wheel Parts Jamboree and ordered 5 new Mickey Thompson ATZ P3 (285/70-17) and 5 new Mickey Thompson Sidebiter IIs. Finally getting those stock wheels and tires off of my 2-door JK sport! Not too aggressive for a tire, but not too meek. They were giving some decent discounts so I said why not. I will hopefully have them on the Jeep this time next week.

Well, looks like there is a production shortage on the Sidebiter II wheels. They won't be in for weeks. So I decided to upgrade to the Rugged Ridge wheel. It's a hub centric wheel vs the MT's lug centric design. 4 Wheel Parts is giving me a great price on them. I should find out the new total this afternoon. I still have to wait until Tuesday before they get in.

Looking good! Back order on the MT wheels was a good thing IMO. I'm running the same RR wheels, hub centric love them and they look really good. I did the ATZ Radials balanced right up no issues.

Let us know how these new tires work, handle, road noise

Enjoy

I agree, back orders can be a good thing. They handle great. Stiffer than the stock wheels, barely noticeable. No road noise to speak of. Very happy so far.

Oh and good choice on black for wheels

Hmm my ATZ are stiff too, and they have a noticeable hum which I would classify as moderate.... Which I happen to like

Goes to show you how tire technology continues to improve.

This will be my first winter with them....let the games begin.
