Default sticky coating on Tereflex exhaust spacers?

I just got in my Tereflex exhaust spacers and there's a sticky coating on them (only reason I can guess is to prevent corrosion prior to install). Do I need to clean this off or just install as is?

I'm not asking what to clean it off with, I'm asking if it needs to be cleaned off prior to install or left on.

+1 it's harmless, leave it be and it'll burn off shortly after you fire it up.
