Default Another CAI Question....Sorry guys

Im 90% hardball and 10% trails. Looking to up grade to an CAI. Don't want to do a drop in filter nor a snorkel, not going in water and dust is not an issue at time.
Advise on which one to go with! I like the incased vs being open like the KN CAI.
Any feed back would help thanks.

You'd be best to save your money and put it towards a mod that you will actually get something out of besides a whistle. Not exactly what you asked but that is what I would do.

I got the airaid because you can get the dry flow filter. I hate oiling filters its impossible to get all the old oil off and get the proper amount reapplied. If you mess up oiling it can cause the maf sensor to read incorectly or worse let dirt in the engine. It also doesn't attract dust as bad as an oiled filter in my opinion. As far as power gains I didn't really notice any but you really need a programmer that compensates for the extra air flow. It did seem to help a little with fuel mileage on the highway but nothing drastic.

I know no HP will be gained at a noticed gain. I hate saying this but at the time being my Jeep is mostly a hardball crawler, just looking to replace OEM. Looking to do a tuner/programmer also.

i like the volant one with the donaldson filter. its a dry filter that they use in desil engines has much better flow then stock and holds a lot more dirt as well.

My airaid never whistles it just has a deep tone similar to an exhaust tone. I am really not sure if that is better or worse.
