Going from Sahara 18" wheels to 16"?
All,
I was planning on replacing the stock 2014 Sahara 18" rims with a set of 16", along with 33" tires (285/75/16?).
When I talked to my "tire guy" down here, he asked if you could reduce the wheel size without having issues with the break calibers...or something like that.
He also pointed out that the stock 2014 Sahara wheels+tires are already about 32"...which I somehow missed in the specs. Should I just keep the stock tires and purchase new 18" wheels for now?
Either way, will I have any issues going to smaller wheels?
Thanks in advance!

16s would be fine but you will find a better tire selection in 17s. Also, don't forget to check wheel offset on the wheels you look at to make sure they are 4.5 or less (smaller number) so you won't need to fork out more $$ for wheel spacers. Granted the tire size you are looking at may not warrant the offset/spacers but if you are like most of us you will at some point.

Thats the shitty thing about 16s. I think your very limited on 37s. I wont go bigger than 35s so im good with 16s. Rides better and looks better.
