Can I put 15x10 rims on a jk or is 16 the smallest i can put

 

Depends which wheels. 3.75" back spacing or less is key. Here's mine. Discount tire has a list guaranteed to fit. Steel wheels like cragar are hit and miss. I'd recommend 15x8 or 9 as well vs the 10" unless you're goin with 13.5" wide tires. It'll def hold a better bead when aired down vs the 10"

 

You limit your ability to get a beefier tie rod since there will be interference.

 

I've got 15x10's without issues and the options are really not as limited since the wheels sit out fairly far. As far as the bead goes......I've come down to 16psi (which isn't crazy low, but it is aired down) without losing a bead with 10.5" wide tires.


You'll find many people who will discourage the setup but for what I want and need- it works great and there's no need to shy away from it.

Nothing wrong with the setup for sure and it will work, just not ideal depending on wheeling plans/ needs. I rarely run above 14 psi on any trails, usually 10-13. Just throwing my 2 cents to the OP

 

My point exactly, we're on the same page- "airing down" is different for everyone, so 10 wides wouldn't be as grand for 10-13psi. I know I won't have to go that low so I opted for wider wheels. The 8 or 9 would be great for that pressure and the typical 12.5" tire.

As long as you have 3.75" Wheel backspacing the RK and Synergy Tie Rods will work with 15" wheels. Depending on which wheel you actually have you can have 4" back spacing and still clear the Synergy Tie Rod.
