Default Rear Wheel Bearing Out??

When driving down the road I hear a squeaking noise and kind of a thud noise. I can feel the back end bounce up and down a little too at slower speeds. And when making turns the noises get louder and it clicks. My guess is a rear wheel bearing. Anyone have any information as to if I could be correct?

Also, the noise seems to go away when breaking.

Why don't you get the rear up on stands ?

Could be a few different things. As far as the rear .. Bent flange, bearing, something with the brakes.

Do you wheel the jeep?

I would check the calipers to make sure they are tight.

Everything is fine. It's somewhere in the shaft, either it's bent or the bearing is out. But! I can't get the damn shaft out on the passenger side!! Is there a C clip in the housing or something???

No c-clip. It's just the four nuts on the retainer plate.

It's slide hammer time.

I got one from Northern Tool cheap.

Not a JK axle, but you get the idea.

Finally got the shaft out. The bearing was in perfect condition. With a little more research and a few more answers from a couple other forums I decided it was a bent flange on the passenger side axle shaft. So I just bit the bullet on some Nitro Gear chromo axle shafts for both sides from Northridge4x4. Hopefully they get here before the weekend so I can install them!
