Default Synthetic winch line

Most folks recommend to install synthetic line under pressure. What do they mean? Hook to another veh'. and winch up to it or just pull hard on the line as it's spooling in?

You need to spool it with a lot of pressure. The reason you do this is so the top line doesn't get pulled down into the lower wrappings during a hard winch pull. This can cause the rope to get severely stuck,, Iv even seen guys have to cut their lines.

Best way to do it is find a road with slight slope and winch vehicle up slope or if none available a less preferably way is to set parking brake 1-2 clicks on to create resistance
