Default Is a highlift jack useless for a stock jk?

So I'm wanting to pick up a highlift jack. Is it silly to spend the cash on it with a misty stock jk? I currently have 32's, and plan on putting on rock rails and a front bumper with winch in the next couple months. Do I need a highlift?

Hi-lifts are great for off road situations or as a poor mans winch. In order to use it properly you need solid points to jack up; the stock bumpers are not that. They can also be very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. For just changing a tire, the stock scissor jack works fine.

Not really, and the factory jack is safer to use should you need to change a tire. They are kinda a pain in the ass to carry and can be noisy in the cargo area. I try and wheel with people that have one so I don't have to carry mine.

There is nowhere to safely lift a stock jk using a hi-lift. You'll need one or all of : steel bumpers ; sturdy rock rails or D-rings.
