OHIO - Stubby Bumpers: Anyone have any Johnny Law problems
Ohio Administrative Code:
4501-43-02 (I) "Wheel track distance" means the distance on the ground between the center of the tire tread on one side of the vehicle, and the center of the tire tread on the opposite side.
4501-43-04 Specifications. (A) The horizontal bumper shall be at least 4.5 inches in vertical height, centered on the vehicle's centerline, and extend no less than the width of the respective wheel track distances. Bumpers shall be horizontal load-bearing bumpers and attached to the vehicle frame to effectively transfer impact when engaged.
Sooooo.....
Not being a lawyer (or playing one on TV) I cannot be sure. BUT, it would appear that stubby bumpers might be an issue. Has anyone had any problems from Johnny Law?

I highly doubt you would get pulled over and ticketed for having a stubby bumper. Between fender coverage, stingers, lights, etc., there's a lot out there that is "illegal" in one state or another. Don't drive like a dumbass and give the cops a reason to pull you over.
