Default Anyone have experience with the rugged ridge hurricane flat fenders?

These were recently released and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them yet? I'm interested in getting a set but wanted to see if anyone has thoughts on them

Here's a link for the fenders if anyone has yet to hear about them

Default well

according to Quadratec, they are coming December 2013.

My tires currently stick out about 1", and i'm just waiting and dreading the day I have to buy new flares (I like the stock ones, and how it looks when they stick out a bit).

Most of the JK flares I haven't liked. they look big/goofy/etc.

these actually don't look bad. a bit expensive, but they don't look bad, and add the 1" I'd need in width. Maybe I could even go to 37s with the 2" additional clearance.

If I get harassed by the 5-0 I'll most likely end up with these.

I'd like to see the install PDF before I buy them though.

If you get them, take lots of before, during and after pics!

I'm personally not a fan of the way they look. Reminds me of when Nissan had those fake rugged fenders on their trucks, the ones with the fake plastic bolts in them.

If you're looking for a replacement fender and like the flat look, then maybe MCE?

Default width?

do they cover any more width? I need 1" each side.

also, I'm not seeing a side light, which would be required for inspection, and general nice to have to not get broad sided at night....

but I do like how they retain the OEM inner liner. Do the Rugged Ridge ones do that?

i do like the pocket look personally and 4wheel parts say they have them in stock.

I will definitely do a review if I get them.

If I were to go with metal fenders, Metal Cloak would be at the top of my list. But the cost and weight is just two things I'm trying to avoid. I do like the concept of plastic fenders that bend as the wheel comes in contact with them, but I can see why people are against them due to their limits in protection.

I just installed these on my 2 dr and really like them. Was able to reuse the fender liners with some easy trimming.

My tires sticking out 1" looks awesome, but throws crap all over the sides of my jeep :(
