Metalcloak 2.5 duroflex vs RK 2.5 X factor
I've decided between either the metalcloak or the RK. They are about the same price but what I wanna know is what shocks work best with each kit. Or even anyone's opinion on the two suspension kits. Any input will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Best shock choice is a matter of how your rig is set up and how you wheel, I would expect the same off the shelf shock to be fine for either lift. The MC will have a better on road ride due to the joints vs the RK joints that are built more for off road racing durability then comfort.
If you have the cash, then look at the MetalCloak six pack shocks. They are designed to maximize up and down travel and minimize the need for bump stops. However, you will also need fender flares that will allow for unrestricted up travel. I have no idea how the shocks feel on the various types of terrain but I have heard good things about them.
If you are going with standard design shocks then get them based on your intended use and preferred characteristics. I would not order the standard design shocks until the lift is installed and the proper bump stops have been installed. Them determine if you are going to use any shock relocation brackets or not, finally measure and order the shocks that best fit your measurements.

You could always rattlecan the shocks. Also.....sign up for MC's newsletter and watch their site- they have small sales and sometimes free shipping every now and again. (Coming from someone with metalcloak front bumper and flares)

MC has said the OME shocks are the best valved shock for their setup (besides the game changers). If the yellow is really that bad I'd paint them. Otherwise contact MC and see what other shock they'd recommend.
I have the 2.5 on my 2 door with the ome shocks. I live in the desert, drive on mtn toads too, been driving on trails with whoops, sand rocks and ruts and going 40mph plus. Heard the foxes and bilstien are stiffer and I do more desert type stuff and would not want anything stiffer. These shocks handle great. This thing rips on the street and handles like a sports car. Have not got to crawl or flex it out yet. My jeep is light.
