Default What is NEEDED for a 3" lift?

I tried searching but couldn't really find any posts about what is exactly needed to run a 3" lift.

I have a 2009 Unlimited with the 2.5" BB from Teraflex (the full kit) and want to put the 3" Evo Plush coils in.

CAs?
Trackbars?
Driveshafts?

assuming a 2012 or later......
Springs
Shocks
Track bar relocation bracket or new track bars (preferred)
Lower or Upper control arms (at minimum, upper or lower. Both upper and lower preferred) OR If you get a kit like OME, it will have cam bolts for correction
I went with a larger (Fox) Steering Stabilizer
Brake lines or Brake extension brackets
Bump Stops (front and rear)
You don't need a pitman arm.
Exhaust extension tubes or AFE Y Pipe
Some would suggest new front and rear drive shafts. I'm still running stock and have been for about 10k miles with no issues. I wheel about 2-3 times a month in Colorado. Still, no issues.
I think that's about it.

Open the FAQ's

You won't NEED anything else, but you will probably WANT to add other components. (depending on actual lift height received and clearances and personal opinion on how it rides.)

If it is a bit too flighty with the added height - then look in to some form of caster correction.
If the axles are offset too much -then look in to adj trackbars.
If the brake lines are too tight- look in to brackets or longer lines.
If the tires are contacting the flares - add bumpstops or look in to flats.
If the swaybars are angled down too much - look into longer links

Go somewhere and flex it to check clearances at all four corners. Pay particular attention to the middle of the front driveshaft - it will probably contact the crossmember skid, and 'may' contact the corner of the tranny pan. If it contacts the tranny (or you think it might while on the trail), limit your travel until you get a thinner aftermarket shaft. (and you will probably want a set of control arms to set the pinion angle for the new shaft)
If front driveshaft clearance is good, then just make sure to check the boot at the tcase regularly. If/when it starts spitting grease, decide what to do about it.

The rear driveshaft should be fine.

you have a 2009, but i would consider a new front DS, bumpstops, at least the front adjustable track bar. control arms for sure. a track bar bracket in the rear.. just search. call teraflex. or whoever and ask.. i have 3 inch teraflex springs, bumpstops, and there 9550 shocks for sale btw Just make sure you correct all of your geometry. caster ect..

happy wheeling
