Default AEV Pintlers with 285/75/17 KM2s

Anyone running this set up? I'm debating going with 35s, but the 285/75/17s would be 33.9 x 11.3. One inch shorter and 1 inch thinner. Definitely less weight. I do mainly backcountry trips with moderate off road. Nothing crazy.

I looked at some Toyo Open country at2's in that size and they are as big as some advertised 35's I had them mounted to compare to my 285/70-17's and they were much bigger. I think they will be my text tires tho. I only have a 2" lift and they were a little too big.

I have the AEV 2.5" dual sport lift.

Well I have the AEV Pintler's on 35" KM2 (34.5" actual) and they just fit (no fender mods for me). Granted I do not do a lot of rock crawling. Lift wise I am only using the Teraflex Leveling kit which gives about 1.5" front. My plan will be a 2.5" lift and already have the PSC fenders (waiting to put them on).

That size tire would be fine with your lift, but keep in mind that the KM2 is very small for it's size class. It may end up being marginally larger than a stock tire.

I ran this setup for awhile before stepping up to 35's. This is the TF 2.5" coil lift on 285/75/17s KM2's.

Thanks for the pictures! Perfect. They don't look much bigger than the 265/70/18s I'm currently running but I like the look with the pintlers.

But now I'm wondering if I should just get 35s.

I think they would if you had them side by side.
