Default Beefing up front axel. Few questions.

Running 2013 JKUR 2.5 rk lift and 35s. Been reading there is a good chance of bending front axel or at least there is a high probability.

What is best route for daily driver that does do serious off roading once a month. Go with a truss or gussets and axel tubes.

Thanks in advanced. Ps labor will be done by shop.

I would say C gussets for sure. Truss rather than sleeves, provides more strength. Lastly, lower CA skids are always nice to have.

Look at Artec, they have a kit that includes it all, very nice stuff.

imo if your worried do a truss and gussets...if your really worried and do truly seriously offroad id get a truss, gussets, sleeves, bjs, tie rod, draglink, and axle shafts.

But hey your term on serious offroading and mine may be completely different.

Do more research to help figure out your needs. Price out the upgrade (parts + labor), and also price out a housing swap to a pr/tera.

(ex, $600/1000/1200 parts/labor to upgrade stock housing vs $2000 for new housing -$600 for selling stock housing)

No clue what you need, just a suggestion to cover all the bases in your comparison.

Are all gussets the same? Any preferences?

Different designs, and probably different opinions on which style is better, but they all do the same thing. I would suggest both upper and lower, though, instead of one of the kits that only offers uppers. (if you are paying to have the uppers installed, why not go ahead and do both?)

imo with no rock crawling a pr60 or tera44 or 60 are not needed. a beefed up 44 will be damn strong.

That is what I am looking for. I don't want t replace the whole axel just looking at preventing bending of front housing. So many options. Not sure if I should go with a truss set up or sleeves or both. I need more education in this department.

People seem to forget is that a D44 shaft is plenty strong, it is just the housing that needs a little attention. A trussed and gusseted JK axle will handle up to 40's in most cases. Just don't drive like an ass and you'll be good to go.

You personally know this better than most people out there.

A truss will provide both torsional and lateral rigidity. It also ties the tubes into the cast housing which will help prevent "popping" or separation of the two. Sleeves will limit you on axle shaft choices if you decide to upgrade in the future.

Go with a truss. Both is overkill for 35's, but I am not against redundancy in any form.
