jeephut, worst customer service ever
I have to let the JK community now about the horrible customer service I had with Jeep hut so hopefully you can avoid them and be spared the aggravation . I called jeep hut on tuesday about 10am and ordered a wild boar grill. They asked how I herd of them and I told them they came up on google search. I told them that i was ordering from them because they are on the east cost and I could get the grill faster from them the from wild boar on the west cost and that I was trying to line things up with my painter to paint the grill and the new hood I just bought, on friday.
I asked if they had the grill in stock and was told yes. I gave all my shipping info and then was put on hold so they could calculate shipping cost. about 5 min. later they come back and say they have to call me back after they figure out shipping. An hour later, i get a call and they say it will 19 dollars and some change for shipping. I ask how long it will take to make to MD and am told three days. I agree and give my cc info.
I then asked to be sent a e-receipt and tracing #. they say it will be sent as soon as it is shipped. I was assured the grill would be shipped that day as it was in stock. all of this happened around 10 am. at 2 pm i check my email through my cell phone and there was nothing from jeep hut. I called them and asked for the tracking # and wad told I would get ti after it shipped. i again, was assured that it would ship that day and I would have it by friday.
Well that night and the next morning, there was nothing in my email and I was getting a bad feeling. At 930 am I called to ask for a tracking # and was told that they would send the e-receipt right then and as soon as the shipping dept opened at ten am I would be sent the tracking #. I said ok and hung up and tried to be patient . I got home yesterday, checked my email and still there was nothing.
So this morning , I call again and after two phone calls, at 12:30 I finally get a tracing # and track it on the UPS website. It comes up and say's it's going to be delivered net tues. not tomorrow, and that it was shipped from cali(wild boar) not from Georgia (jeep hut). At this point I pissed and get right on the phone to jeep hut. I tell the person that answers the phone that I only ordered from them because they were on the east cost and I should have been told they didn't have it in stock when I ordered. I was told they did the best job they could.
I will never order from jeep hut again. I am positive now, that they knew when I ordered that they didn't have the grill in stock and that's why they had to call me back with the shipping cost. They had to get through to Wild Boar to find out haw much it was going to cost to ship from cali to MD. They didn't care that I was going to have to wait as long as they got the sale, instead of letting me decide if I wanted to wait that long and still order the grill or wait until a later date. What a bunch of assholes!!! end rant

Just to give you some insight on small one location shops like this. They will always tell you it's in stock because they can call the manufacturer and have the item drop shipped because they are in the manufacturer's network. My guess is that Jeep hut has an inventory of about $10K of random parts and most of that is in stuff they know they will sell like grab handles and clothing. I ordered my wheels from them and knew before I ordered they would have them drop shipped from Rigged Ridge. They don't want to loose any sale and will say it's in inventory just to get the sale. They way they make up for this is to try and undercut the larger boys like Quadratec, etc on price and shipping cost. You should have realized this early on. If you would have called wild boar first I bet you would have gotten it when you wanted but paid a bit more for shipping.
I'm not trying to piss you off any further but this is just the way business is done these days form small mom & pop shops

Sorry you had a bad experience! I've had better luck with Jeephut than any of the other big box companies. I had Quadratec send me the wrong items in the past and have returned them and I never got my money back or never been credited. I will keep doing business with them or with Jester Off-road. I find that I get better prices and better service with the smaller companies.

Normally we don't get on forums and defend ourselves as we do not want to start some huge thread and ruin the integrity of the forum. I was just made aware of post on here though and wanted to make quick comment on it.
WE are a small company. We only operate out of two warehouses however we do carry over 300,000 in inventory and if we could carry more we would but room does not allow. The wild boar grilles are sitting on our shelf at the shop and there is one sitting in front of my desk as I type this. In this business and at this time of year it is a juggling game to get people their products quickly. People want their products "Now" and we have to try to accommodate that. As another poster above stated, many places will dropship and say they have it in stock when just the manufacturer does. In most cases we do have it in stock. Every single order when it is placed is gone through and determined where to ship from for best possible customer service and then is processed from there. I hope this makes sense. Your order was processed on Monday, shipping was checked from our stock and it showed a Monday delivery, however when we checked the manufacturer it showed Friday delivery therefore we paid the higher shipping charge to ship directly from them. Why it is showing up Tuesday delivery, I can not tell you however looking at the tracking we sent you, you will also see it was shipped promptly. Once the package leaves any facility we can not control how long it will take especially at the start of the holiday season.
I am very sorry you are unhappy with the customer service and we are always working to improve it but I assure you the person that took your order had your best interest in mind and quickest delivery in mind.
To the forum community we apologize for having this thread posted.
Thanks

I'v never ordered from Jeephut,, and now,, don't think I ever will. Their company post fails to explain why the grill they had "in stock" didn't ship 1) from them, 2) That day. The customer explained the importance of getting the product quickly, and they still processed the order knowing full well they weren't going to meet his needs. I have tried to place orders from other companies under similar circumstances and the stand up company told me they were sorry but could not meet my needs. That is what good business is all about,, and I have ordered many things through that company since based on their honesty and looking out for the customer's best interest. It seems, as previously stated, Jeephut flat out lied to get the sale. Bad business!

Let me answer your question with a question,,, Do you actually believe they thought a grill shipped from the east coast would arrive later than one shipped from the west coast? Not to mention they told the customer it would ship that day!!
I'm not one way or another for/ against Jeephut- I'm just quoting back what they said.
That being said- amazon prime has got me some things with 2 day shipping quicker than a vendor around the corner. Anything is possible.
