Default changing from 285 to 315s with 2013 jk

I have285s on aftermarket wheels and want to go up to 315s..(35s). I have basic 2013 jk, and my motor handles the 33s real easy. I mostly trail ride and daily driver will 35s be ok?

What gears are you running? Do you have an auto or manual. I have a 12 2dr manual with 4.10 gears running 315/70-17 and have no issues.

I have a 12 auto (same 3.6l in a 12-14) and ran 315 nitto terra grapplers and much heavier 35x12.5 nitto trail grapplers with 3.21 stock gears and it was ok but I have since regeared to 4.56's and I am much happier!

If you read the posts above you will see. If you have 4.10 gears it will be fine. If you have 3.73 or lower it will drive but your performance will suffer. I have 4.10 and auto and it still rides fine.

It's not just the diameter, you are going up from 11.6" wide to 12.9" wide
