Need help with spacer lift.
Sorry if this has been asked, I did a search and found random stuff, not what I wanted. I would love an AEV 2.5 spring lift, but I feel that it would be a waste of money as I will not be crawling and really don't need the extra "flex". I am looking at 2.5 spacer lifts. My question is , do they run true to size? Do you really get 2.5"s out of a 2.5" lift or what? I am open to all opinions from brand to materials. I just want to be able to clear 35" tires. All input is welcome, thanks guys and gals.
You simply want to run 35's- easy.
Wheel spacers or properly offset wheels will work. You'll need to trim the air dam a little bit for the tires to turn. You can do it on stock suspension, so any 2.5" budget lift will suit your needs.
Any material will work for your needs and since they all measure out to the same height- they're the same. Some materials may degrade over time or split in extreme conditions. What you'll see as far as brands not measuring up (in the budget category) is actually compression of your own stock coils.
Below is my stock height 2dr with 35" tires with stock wheels and wheel spacers.

Added weight or sagging coils may affect the total height, but a 2.5" spacer is 2.5".
Brand and material shouldn't matter, just compare the other components that come with it.
The amour of lift you get from a coil lift will depend on the coil rates of that coil and the weight of your jeep. A spacer lift is true to size. Read the link in my signature to familiarize yourself with the suspension and what the parts do.
Good luck with the build.
