Default Am i a canidate for drag link flip?

Hey guys. My jeep seems to have a slight shimmy as of lately and I am going to start by checking bushings and such. I have a RK trackbar, rc (soon to be mc) lower control arms, and 3.5" tf lift. I am on the fence about getting a synergy flip kit with tb relocation bracket and using my RK tb until I can get either the RK, jks, or mc trackbar. I hear the jks might hit the diff cover so I may not go that route. And for the rear I already have jks tb so I will get the jks tb bracket to raise the bar a few inches. Will they work together?

Crap I can't upload the photo right now. I'll have it up ASAP to show my front end steering geometry.

If you raise the front Trackbar mounting point you do the flip to keep the Trackbar and draglink as parallel to each other as possible. Do not do one without the other.

The drag link flip is more to help with roll center and bump steer, not a shimmy. Check for loose bolts, rotate tires and check for out of balance tires, ball joints, tie rod ends, worn bushings, and worn unit bearings can all cause a shimmy.

And the shimmy is probably due to my last tire rotation. I'll bring them to get balanced next week since I've had them on for about 27000 miles now.

You just did a drag link flip and did not raise the axle side mount? If you can weld I would recommend the bracket from Genright or from Rusty's.

Correct. I flipped the drag link and did not raise the track bar axle mount. What damage could come from this while I wait for a new mount to come in? i will take a pic in tje morning and post so you can see it.

Expect to experience some pretty good bump steer and keep a firm hold on the steering wheel over really rough surfaces. Other then that you should not damage anything, it is more of an annoyance and possible dangerous should it happen in a congested area.

I checked your profile but it is not complete, you might want to update it at some point as well so people can see what you are running and answer your questions a bit easier.

I updated it my profile, sorry if I hijacked this tread, just felt what I did might help with this question.

I have photos of the upgrades and some of the damage from my DW in the album called steering/suspension. I will include what I feel is the best option. kind of hard to see the gray drag link. and the track bar in either photo.

thanks again for your tips and advice!
