Product Description

"Our RockSolid Performance heavy-duty steering box brace for the 2007-2012 Jeep JK is specifically designed to practically eliminate sector shaft play in the steering box, which is a contributory cause to wandering and inferior road feel. The brace also adds an additional fixture point for the steering box to the frame, reducing stress on the steering box bolts and frame where it is mounted. No drilling, welding, or addition fabrication is required due to the utilization of stock mounting holes. The new high clearance version 5.0 is specially designed to work with almost any track bar combination. This new high clearance steering box brace has been tested on multiple JK's with multiple track bar variations. Though we are not able to test all variations, it has proven it is "high clearance" and worked with every option so far. The V5.0 brace is wide enough to work with frame side track bar braces and if you don’t currently have a frame side track bar brace the steering box brace comes with supplied spacers needed."

Older version had problems with trackbar clearance and the newest version states it has been tested on multiple track bars. Whos running this brace and what trackbar do you have? Before I spend $200, I want to know if it works with the Teraflex Monster trackbar. Thanks

I would call them and ask them. Sounds like they have tested it with a few and I'm sure teraflex is probably one of them as it's one of the most popular front trackbars.

Works with the big RK track bar. It really helped out my steering feel.

Demtek is a fortunate man! I also have the RK trackbar and ordered one of these based on his experience but mine wasn't even close to working with the brace. Mike at Rock Solid was great at working with me though.

I ended up grinding down the aft/inner side of the brace and some on the center support of the brace to clear the bar at full deflection. (pass spring compressed) Also, the placement of the zerc fitting on the rear of the bearing cup was dead on to hitting the bar. Mike thought this odd as they used to have the zerc towards the front but had feedback they needed to move it to the rear. So after I made my clearances, I sent it back to Rock Solid where they re powder coated it and moved the grease fitting to the front and I was good to go.

Obviously, ymmv.

I just ordered this thing last week, and I will install it this week if I get it. I'm running the TF bar too so I'm hoping it will clear everything. I have a feeling that the flex of the particular Jeep may come into play as well a the trackbar. We'll see.
