Default What Tie-Rods use GM 1 Ton TREs?

I have an axle that I picked up from a forum member and it currently has the Ruff Stuff Tie Rod with GM 1 Ton TREs on each end which also means that the knuckles have been reamed for those TREs. The Tie Rod came bent inwards from the previous use so it hits the welded on trackbar bracket so I need to replace it. My problem is that the knuckles are reamed to fit the 1 Ton TREs so I am limited on my replacement choices.

I am not sure how hard or what force it took to bend the tubing however I am looking to replace it with a more stout option if possible. Plus I do not have a welder to be able to replace it with the same build it yourself one.

Thanks,

Rick.

Most off the guys who run that tie rod did not have to ream the knuckles and that includes me

So make sure first if it did get reamed

Carolina Metal Masters makes a Tie Rod similar to the Ruff Stuff except that it is Aluminum. Uses the same offset TRE. I went to this after bending the Ruff Stuff Tie Rod. Steering Tie Rod | Carolina Metal Masters

I was just eying this one. Where did you pick yours up from? Was there a long wait?

Thanks,

Rick.
