Teraflex 2,5 lift with Elka. Coil springs feels loose?!
Hi All,
i installed yesterday the TF 2.5 lift kit with elka 3-4 shocks.
I have an issue where after completing installations and the car still jacked up, the coil springs feel loose and i am still able to sort of slide them around in circles (put my hands on each side and twist/slide). Feels really loose and not firm and locked in and i'm afraid it flies out lol
I reinstalled the stock sway bars and due to the fact that they are shorter, it locked the springs in.
Did anyone experience that with either teraflex shocks installed or fox/elka? I have contacted teraflex and was told it is normal and ok as the back springs have a retainer to ensure that it doesn't fly out which came part of the kit, but i have a similar situation in the front as well .
I would really appreciate if you guys can share your ideas/comments with me. My brother is saying that the shocks might have something to do with it.
Regards

Thank you for replying buddy
I just thought of updating this thread. With JK TF/Elka 2.5 lift combo, the coils felt a bit loose. I ended up having to put 1 inch spacer on top of the coil spring to tighten things up.
I am note sure if others faced the same problem, but this is how i resolved mine.
The shocks are amazing in the desert with a combo of baja style driving and dune bashing. OK on the road but i would like them a bit softer (that is why i moved away from FOX option). I am not sure of the type on the nitrogen used and i wonder if i can let some go and add to get best comfort.
