Default Rock Krawler Lift Question

I'm looking at getting a RK 2.5" lift, but might upgrade to 3.5" a few years down the road. I know I'd need to get the new 3.5" springs, but would it require new Bilstein 5100 shocks too?

if your going to want more travel out of the lift then yes. But no not necessarily if your not going to use the suspension besides just driving. It would be easier to answer this question knowing what it will be used for

Default Good question

I am also interested in this lift (2.5) but not sure if new drive shafts are needed for the 3.5 and can't afford them now. I would be doing mostly trails and have a 2010 rubi auto.

You could always get longer travel Bilsteins right now and compensate with extra bump stop, not the best option because you lose up travel. Depending on how you treat your shocks and many years it is till you upgrade also plays a factor to if you will want to replace your shocks again at that time.

The 3.5" does not necessarily mean that you will need new driveshafts. The 2 door driveshafts are very short so when lifting your rig you might need to replace the shafts. It all comes down to how your pinion angle looks. If you install something like the X-Factor lift then you can adjust your pinion angle and make your stock shafts last longer.

You can both PM us if you would like to discuss details about the kits, options, and some other items that might be required to replace when lifting a JK to this height.
