Default Painting coil springs

I'm thinking about painting the coil springs red on my lift before I get it installed. Anyone done this before or have any suggestions on what paint to use or the steps needed to do this?

I was thinking about doing this too, but decided not to in the end (no particular reason). At the time, most people suggested an "epoxy" paint. Sold at your local car parts store, it's advertised for suspension parts and car parts that need to flex without cracking the paint. I've never tried it and not sure how well it works, but that seems to be the best option.

I would probably scuff them up real good a maybe a light sanding so the new paint would stick well, especially on springs that are constantly moving.

I'd be afraid of chipping off. In the past I powder coated my coils only one coat. Never had a problem. Might be a better option.

Wonder if this might be an application for Plasti-Dip?

For those fellow Canucks I noticed Canadian Tire now sells this stuff.
