Default Rear Bumper Suggestions

Good evening all,

I'm looking to replace my rear bumper to hold a soon-to-be-installed set of 35s. I have a 2014 Rubi Unlimited with factory tow hitch. Primary use is highway but I will be doing some occasional mild offroading for hunting. I was looking at the PSC original RockBrawler rear bumper (not the II, as it has a hitch), but I don't like the fact that I need to delete/relocate the license plate with that bumper, nor do I like that it does not open with factory tailgate.

Starting my bumper hunt all over again, here are my requirements:

- Single-pull swingout with the tailgate.
- No license plate relocation.
- Works with factory tow hitch.
- High quality.
- Good warranty.

So far, the only one that seems to match my wish-list is the Warn Elite (only thing I'm not sure I like about that one is that the tire sits slightly off center, but I can get over that kind of thing).

Any other suggestions on rear bumpers that might fit what I'm looking for?

Thanks in advance to all that can help out.

Willis

I highly recommend the Ace rear bumper/tire carrier

though you can't get it without the trailer hitch...I got the last one they had that didn't have a trailer hitch.

now they put a hitch on every one.

it opens nicely along with the tailgate and it handles my 37" just as well as it did the 33"

Check out Rockhard 4x4.

I have their front and rear bumper plus the rock guards. They are awesome. Quality American made powder coated black.

Not to steer you away from a bumper ( i recommend one ) but what about the teraflex tire carrier? 35 will fit without issue and you can save on weight for DD. Keeps your hitch and factory door operation. I only replaced my bumper because of wheeling and crawling. Doesnt take much dragging to rip the factory one apart.

Weight isn't a factor? Some of those swing away carriers are damn heavy. I had an LOD fully loaded, switched to teraflex.

Yeah the Ace rear bumper +!tire carrier is 190 pounds, but my spare is like 80 pounds, and the bumper has their lifetime off-road guarantee

Can bumpers with integrated hitches be used with the factory installed hitch? I'm just trying to avoid a 'double-hitch' look, if you guys know what I mean.
