Been attempting to use the infamous "SEARCH" function. It is not working through my iPhone. I have been trying to decide between 285/75/17 Toyo A/T II tires or 295/70/17 Toyo M/T's. I bought a set of 1.5" Spidertrax spacers, as I don't want to invest in new wheels at this time. I have a 2012 JKU SPORT with 3.21 gears in 3.6 automatic. I am currently stock, no coil spacers or anything. I won't be able to lift within the next few months. This is my dd, and it will be mostly highway here in North Central Fl. If taken off-road, it would not involve rocks. Mud is a possibility if it lays ahead on the trail. Mud bogs are not in my future.

Would both these setups run without rubbing? The A/T II's would be 34", while the M/T's would be 33"'s.

I speak from experience when I say you will rub. A 34" tire won't fit without some sort of lift. Spend the money once when you can a get a 2.5" lift. For the time being, patience is your best friend. Ive been down this road.......

 

Not sure about 34 but you should be good with 33's. I run 285 70 17 and spiders, no rub

 

I have a 2014 unlimited and Toyo a/t2's in 285/75-17 and spidertrax on my stock rims. I have a 2" lift and on the road you probably will be fine altho you will hit your front bumper if it is stock or be awful close to it. Even mild off roading will probably cause some rubbing on the flaires. Before my new jeep I had a 2013 jku with auto and was running 285/75-16's and from a power stand point I would not have wanted to have been any bigger. I now have 4.10's and that is about right with the 34's. I think if you were to go 34's you would want for different gears.


the white one has 34's the silver 33's both have 1.5" spidertrax and both a/t2's. white has 2" lift the silver has 2.5" lift.

 

I just bought a Warn Elite with bull bar front bumper and Warn Zeon 10. I plan on mounting it this weekend. With the bumper flaring up on tire side, will it help my situation or hurt it?

 

What is a realistic price for a 2-3" lift if I do the labor myself? One that will have a decent ride to it.

I've got 295/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers with Spidertrax on Stock wheels and no lift. No rubbing unless I'm on a difficult trail with 4 passengers. I would like to get a 2.5" lift in or at least get some flat fenders for a little more room to flex... Mine has the 3.8 with 3.73s and a 4auto.

 

I have 285/75/17 Toyo AT2 extreme tread on stock wheels. Great tire. With a Teraflex leveling kit (2" front 1" rear) and 1.5" wheel spacers absolutely no rub. As long as you don't do any major flexing I think wheel spacers and no lift would be fine. Also just fits the stock carrier with a small $15 spacer from Auto Zone. Good luck.

I have the same and did not need a spacer for the stock carrier. It is tight but fits. I did trim just bit off the rubber bumpers. I felt better having it fit tight.
