Default What is the best summer top?

When I take my hard top off what is the best top to use. In other words what is the easiest to put on while not having a lot of noise. There is bikini, island, ect. Everything from $50 to $150. Tell me which ones you have and what you like and what you hate about them.

the best summer top... no top!

i only put on the top when i absolutely have to. even drove home on the freeway once in a mid-summer downpour with no top.

i have a bestop bikini top with the smittybilt header. the top itself is OK, but the header stinks. the header uses large knobs to tighten it to the upper windshield, but the knobs are on top and poke into the bikini top. i fixed it by replacing the knobs with large phillips head bolts and i carry around a stubby screwdriver to attach and remove it.

the top itself is just OK. it protects well and is relatively quiet, but it isn't very intuitive to install. i bought some straps and hooks to make it easier to install, but it still isn't the greatest.

I use my safari bikini top (bestop) in the summer. It's fairly quick and simple to install and no nuisance road noise to speak of. My only complaint is, without door surrounds, if nature springs a rainstorm on you, you will get wet.

No top is best. But if it gets too hot, bongie cord a SpiderwebShade to keep the grey matter from frying.

Definitely no top will be the way to go. I plan on getting something for those wet days. I don't want a lot of flapping noise and ease of putting it on stems from running topless to hit with rain!

I run with a Spiderweb shade. The Texas sun is just too intense for no cover, but it lets the breeze thru and you can see through it. I carry a tarp and bungees for the unexpected rain shower while parked. Doesn't help while driving, but as long as you are moving most of the rain stays out.
