TeraFlex Budget Boost with Bilstein 5100 or King 2.5's...will the spring unseat?
Quick question and wondering if anyone can provide insight. I'm considering the TeraFlex budget boost as an interim lift and wondering if I could put a longer shock like the Bilstein 5100's or King 2.5's and not have to worry about the spring unseating during max flex. Do I have to replace the spring with a longer one? Thoughts?
I know they sell a kit with shocks, but I wasn't sure of the length of TeraFlex shock compared to the 5100 or the 2.5's.

Good to hear from you Dirtman. That's the direction I need. JeeperJK, mentions he used the 5100 0"-4"...I didn't realize the shocks came in different lengths. How do you suggest I maximize my down travel and pick the right shock length (and keep the coils in place)?
Do the King's come in different lengths as well? Likely to end up with the 3" EVO plush coils, so I'd like to have a shock that would accommodate that setup down the road (without limiting downtravel with the longer spring)

If you buy 2.5" shocks, you should be fine. However if you get a shock that is for 2.5"-4" then the coils can unseat.
TeraFlex 2.5" shock specs:
Front 24.50" ext 15.41" compressed
