Default stock tire carrier strenth ((the actual carrier)) with teraflex hd hinge ???

How strong is the actual carrier? I want to run it with the teraflex hinge system, however I got my carrier out of the garage and it seems kinda weak. Will it hold up to a 35" spare?

I ran a heavy ass 35x12.50x17 Toyo MT on the stock carrier for a year and a half and now have a 37" Goodyear MTR on there and so far so good. I am looking to upgrade it soon though. You will be fine with a 35" on there. I wheeled the heck out of mine through all types of terrain with no issues.

Keep in mind that it depends upon how much time you spend bouncing around on the rocks/trail. The more time spent doing this, equals the less time you will be spending with that stock carrier.

There have also been cases of a stock tire breaking the stock carrier, so put in your due diligence.
