Default License plate delete cover problem

Tying to install my license plate delete cover and it won't fit because of these sliver things. How do I get them out??

Well I got it and it looks great but took some work and the death of a screwdriver.

next time just reach in there and squeeze the spring from the back to release the clips...easy peasy

you can take the tail light off and reach down or pop the foam from the bottom and reach up.

I tried for almost an hour to squeeze the springs to release the clips

i noticed those spots to squeeze just after i gouged the paint with a screwdriver.

I'm sure that screw driver died with a smile on its face. Every tool in a toolbox looks fwd to touching a jeep sooner or later.

Used needle nose on mine and took less than a min. Lol

This. I used small 45 degree needle nose pliers through the hole. Took less than a minute...
