I have changed diff fluid, transfer case fluid, checked transmission fluid and it looks perfect. I'm at a loss for what this is.

I can't hear the noise (media doesn't stream on my work network). Question - do you have an LSD in the rear? If so, did you also remember to include the additive when you changed the diff fluid? I know that the additive is necessary to prevent the LSD from chattering.

I changed out the oil in the rear diff of my GTO, filled it until it poured out of the plug. It made a humming noise under light acceleration after this.

i pulled the plug again and noticed the level was low.

try checking the level after driving it. I assume the gear oil has to work it's way all the way to the bearings at the ends of the axle housing if it was full. maybe the outer bearings are just dry?

see if you can add gear oil.

I don't know anything about jeeps yet but a diff is a diff right? hope it helps.
