Default Re-install Headlight Eye Brow Trim

So I installed the headlight angry eyes trim on my JK and my girlfriend helped me. Anyways the one I put on is fine.... But the one she put on isnt sticking properly to the grill. Is there anyway I can fix this problem without having to get a new part completely? Thanks!

Would any of that hurt my paint? I don't know if these will be permanent so I want to make sure that it won't hurt the paint.

They are both on, the driver side one just has an inch gap between the grill and the trim. I'll post a picture later to show what I mean. Ill give the 3M a try though.
