Default Dynomax compitition muffler off road only

I was looking at it and it's 215 or something like that but it says off road only why is that? Is it too loud or because it dumps right under the driver door, not sure why? Anyone know

From Dynomax themselves

So it is "off road only" because in some states they require the exhaust system dumping out after the rear axle, but a lot of states just want a muffler somewhere in the system.

I'm not sure. I have heard of people running it in California without any problems.

Been running mine in NORCAL for two years. And I know a few other guys that are also.

I honestly did not check on legality though, my buddy in San Jose was running it and I liked it.

My 12 Rubi had that system on it when I bought it. Dumps out right behind the drivers seat so you really feel it through the floor.

Way to loud and buzzy for my taste, alerting everyone in the neighborhood to my presence from blocks away just isn't my bag.
If your young or just like that sort of thing go for it man.

I added their dual outlet turbo muffler in the stock location behind the mid pipe and it sounds great now.
Low tone and not loud at all. Everything is tucked up fairly high, shouldn't hit anything wheeling.

I have the same one you have right now but I want it more tucked up because I hit it all the time
