Default Painting springs

Has anyone painted/powder coated their springs or have any pictures they could share? I'm on the fence about it, I want to accent my black jeep but I don't want to make it look tacky either.

Thats a good idea, if I paint them that's what I'll do. I'm just not sure I want green springs or how it'd look.

if you're unsure about how it will look and understandably don't want to commit to painting/powder coating, go to your local hobby store and find some colored tape. Try to find something close to the color you want to paint it. HD, ACE or Lowes may also have something similar, but I remember seeing a bunch of tapes/ribbons etc when my wife meanders through Hobby Lobby and I'm not supposed to touch anything; just behave.

But I digress... find some colored tape, colored electrical tape or whatever and run a strip of tape around your springs, following the outside of the spring - it's not going to be permanent, so just make it relatively neat. Then - go grab a beer and stare at it for a while. Call a buddy - give him beers as a consultation fee and ponder together.

If you like the look w/the color - go ahead and get it painted/powder coated - if not, just remove the tape and drive on.

Get an epoxy rattle can and a Brillo pad. Clean the crap out of your spring then spray. Lasted longer than the original powercoat on mind.

I wonder how long it would look right, even with the flex agent. I'd think it'd still crack and chip in a year or two.
