Default Rancho 3" Trail system Questions GALORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couple of questions.

How much lift can i expect, i know it says 3" But i also know that allot of companies undersell there lifts.
Am i going to need an exhaust spacer? I have a 2011 Jk unlimited.
Any body got pics of this particular lift on there JKU?
Any tips on install?
What would be the best lower control arms to ad to this kit?

Rancho 3" Trail System in Red for 07-13 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

I ordered that kit with there 7000 series. Got it all for about 800 dollars after my mail in rebate gets back. Along with there steering stabilizer.

Any thoughts and suggestions and tips and pics would be great. It should be here in 3 weeks sooooooooooooo. THANKS

Default Rancho Deluxe

I'm not sure about the final height but Ranchos tend to be higher than stated. My 4" Sport Lift on my 2010 Unlimited Sahara with automatic is really 5" in the front. I though that the heavy bumper and winch would bring it down but so far I haven't seen any change.

I don't think you need an exhaust spacer on a 2011. I didn't need one on my 2010 with 4" lift. You only need it for a 2112 and later with 3.6L engine.

My only recommendation on install is to follow Rancho's instructions precisely. Rancho is a division of Monroe and has an extensive design and engineering staff that knows more about installing their lift on your Jeep than you ever could. Go to GoRancho.com and look up the installation instructions for RS66107 lift kit.

You DO NOT need new lower control arms. Stick with stock as Rancho instructs. You should spend the extra cash on RS9000XL adjustable shocks specific for your 3" lift. You will be absolutely amazed at how well they ride and handle both on and off road.

I was actually talking it over with a gentleman at the 4wp expo here. "RANCHO BOB" Is what he called himself. That i actually brought up the adjustable 9000s and he recommended that i go for the 7000 series unless i was planning on doing towing with my jeep (which u am not). I no i don't need new lowers more as i am curious as to which one would be best to trun this into a full short arm kit lol. Also how much does your front bumper and winch weigh? Mine will be in right under 200lbs.

Thanks for the reply really helpful.

Also what would be a good choice of not so pricey disconnects. Right now i am just running home made pins but they do work great just noisy. I am sure i will have more and more questions. Maybe the Rancho rep on here can answer my lower control arm question. THANKS

My winch + front bumper come in at about 180 pounds.

I have Rancho discos (RS6756B). They were the right length for my 4" lift so I didn't need the sway-bar drop brackets.

Does this lift raise the front more so the jeep is pretty much level? Thanks!

Bob knows his stuff (jealous that he is in HI "working"), it comes down to ride with the shocks. We run RS7000MT's on our JK's they see a trail almost every weekend, and I run RS7000's on my JKU too. But the adjustable 9000's are nice for all around riding.

A bit, we build it, with thoughts of you adding a bumper/winch.

The 3" TRAIL comes with Front and rear adjustable uppers.

A lot of guys get the 3" SPORT and then upgrade with our Upper/Lower control arm set. (RS66150(b)) (b)=the arms in black, without the B they ship red.

Just got this pic fro the booth.
Sharp!
