Towing with 2012 JK Unlimited Rubicon
Hi everyone!
My friend and I are going to Jeep Beach this year. He has a YJ and I have a 2012 Unlimited JK Rubicon. We were going to use his friend's 18 foot car trailer and tow his YK on the trailer behind my JK. Do you think this would be fine? Do you think my Jeep can handle it?

You are asking if you 'can' tow significantly more than the max limit for a JK, and not if you 'should', correct?
Yes, many people have posted about towing more than the weight limit without issue. But it might not be a bad idea to come up with a total weight for the Trailer + YK, and then talk to your insurance company before deciding whether it's a good idea.
