teraflex 2.5 lift kit and added daystar 3/4 spacers
I recently installed a teraflex 2.5 suspension coil lift with shocks on my 2010 jk 2 door auto. After installing a winch and mounting plate up front, and a full size spare with an orfab tire /can carrier in the rear I've noticed I lost some lift. My question is has anyone added daystar 3/4 spacers and the teraflex 2.5 coils. Main concern would be drive shaft angles epically with the 2 door and auto tranny. Any input would be appreciated. I didn't take measurements before and after the 2.5 coils went in so I really don't Know the true lift I got from the kit, and the ammount of lift I lost from added weight. Thanks all.
You can go to a dealer and check out a Jk like you have to check how much lift you have. You can add spacers if you need to. I have a jku with teraflex 2.5 lift with 1"spacers all around. with a two door i wood keep the lift around 2.5 though.you mite be around 2.5 "now if the lift is new
I have a similar issue. I want to add spacers to my 2.5" coil lift to give it a little more lift. I have a 4-door auto so I think I can safely go up just a bit. My question is, I'm about to purchase some new Rancho 9000XL shocks. If I add some spacers, is that going to screw up my shock length?
A 2.5" spacer lift already puts the coils outside the retention cups. Adding another spacer to it would not be wise IMO. ur loosing lift because the springs can't handle the added weight load. U really should change springs that accommodate the heavier weight. I understand it's usually a cost factor but seriously, it's more reliable. Another thing to consider. If you are loosing ride height you are also loosing suspension travel. Look up under ur front end. You may only have 3" of movement between the axle tube and factory bump stop. The added teraflex bumpstop extension makes it even less.
A frickin speed bump in a parking lot will use that much travel.
