Default Gas cap warning

Hey, I recently went from a lockable cover to my gas cap to a new lockable gas cap itself. Going this route, I had to take off the stock gas cap. Since I have done so, every time I turn on my Jeep, I get a "gas cap loose" warning. I know it's probably because I don't have the stock gas cap on...how can I stop this warning?

The gas cap doesn't have a tight seal. The gas cap is either defected, missing a seal or simple just doesn't seal correctly. You can try to apply a seal lube on it and see if it fixes it or else try a different gas cap. The Mopar ones can get keyed to your ignition so you don't have to carry around a separate key.
