Default I got some really bad advice here...

I had a thread about shocks and trying to make my ride smoother and many here suggested that instead of putting softer shocks on my car to lower the PSI in my tires to softer up the ride.

I did that, but the only problem is that the tire treads that were almost at 100% are now almost down to the bone and now need replacing.

Just for future reference, do NOT flatten your Mud Tires while driving on the road. Keep them at the full company specified requirements.

They are there for a reason. I now have to get new MT's and even used ones wont be cheap.

Can you give some more details? How low did you go with the pressure? How many miles since you lowered it? Did you do a chalk test to ensure even wear?

That's why you are suppose to do a chalk test and run accordingly. Manufacture specs aren't correct as different jeeps weigh differently etc. A proper chalk test will give you the best even wear possible.

Curious what PSI were you running?

How low where you? No way you need to run the reccomended. My mud grapplers were at about 20 psi and have around 20k miles and still 16/32 tread.

Nobody even mentioned a chalk test. I have the rubicon set-ups and I run them with 37 psi usually but I went down to 30 to make the ride softer. I was a bit softer on hard bumps but the ride was still wobbly and the Jeep is all over the place still like I'm riding a bull.

I put about 4k miles on them since changing the air pressure as I'm using my vehicle for a ride haring service. (Lyft, Uber)

It definitely isn't your tire pressure that wore out your tires. You got bigger issues then tire pressure if your all over the road and wore a set of tires out in 4k. 30 psi is not a problem.

Well everytime I try to address the issue people just say "Jeeps are just bumpy"

was this on the street or dirt roads?

Whens the last time you had an alignment done? That's not your tire pressure. 30 is still possibly too high, you look bone stock.

30 psi tyre pressure wouldn't cause the problems you list. If I were you I'd find a good garage that specialises in off-road Jeeps and have them take a look.
